On November 8th The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Project (MiUI) was featured on a webinar explaining the recent changes in Michigan's UI program and how these changes are likely to affect unemployed people in our state. During the webinar MiUI debuted the Michigan Working Families' Alliance, a group recently created to focus on repairing Michigan's UI system in the aftermath of the legislature's actions last year.

MiUI Featured Speaker, Dr. Luke Shaefer, Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, presented the findings of his recent report, "Families at Risk: The impact of 2011 changes to unemployment insurance on Michigan's unemployed families and children."
